I was making cookies with friends for Christmas when the power went out. We had so many cookies to make, so we just started measuring and prepping so we would be ready to mix and bake when the power came back on. I needed chopped nuts, but I couldn't use the electric food processor. So, a ziplock bag and rolling pin did the trick!

Such a basic thing, boiling an egg. Sounds as easy as boiling water, but there are a couple tricks that you can do to make the perfect boiled egg.

Have you ever accidentally pushed the wine cork into the bottle instead of pulling it out? The problem is that it's hard to pour the wine with the cork stuck in there.
Just put a chopstick in the wine bottle. It'll prevent the cork from sticking into the neck of the bottle when you're trying to pour it.
