Slow Smoked Tender Tri-tip Recipe

This tri-tip is mostly hands off, with just a simple wrap in the middle of the cooking process.  Tender, juicy and smokey, this is a simple way to serve tri-tip while being able to spend time with your guests.

Slow Smoked Tender Tri-tip

Prep time 5 minutes
Cook time 4 hours
Total time 4 hours, 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Tri-Tip
  • Kirkland Steak Seasoning
  • Kirkland Organic No Salt Seasoning
  • Garlic Olive Oil

Directions

Step 1
Dry rub seasonings onto tri-tip.
Step 2
Preheat smoker to 180 degrees. Place tri-tip on smoker and smoke for 3 hours.
Step 3
Remove from smoker and rub garlic olive oil over entire roast. Wrap with tinfoil. Increase temperature to 225 and continue to cook for 1 more hour.
Step 4
Remove from smoker and let rest 10 minutes. Slice & Serve.
