This is a simple baked/roasted chicken recipe that is quick and has ingredients you likely already have on hand.
Honey Jam Chicken
By author | Dish Ditty Recipes |
Ingredients
- 1 cup Honey
- 1 cup Jam (I used a homemade apple pomegranate jam)
- 1 cup Italian Dressing
- 2 tablespoons Garlic (minced)
- 1-2 tablespoon Chicken Rub (see notes for recipe)
- 6-8 pieces Chicken Thighs (bone-in, skin on)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven on roast setting to 425 degrees.
Step 2 | |
Prepare baking pan with non-stick foil or spray liberally with pam cooking spray.
Step 3 | |
Mix together the honey, jam, italian dressing and garlic. If it isn't combining, heat on a low heat until the honey and jam liquify enough to mix together. Reserve 3/4 of a cup of honey mixture to put on table when serving.
Step 4 | |
Sprinkle the chicken lightly with the chicken rub. Dip in the honey mixture, being sure to coat the chicken well. Place on the baking sheet, leaving room around each piece of chicken. Bake on 'roast' setting until chicken reaches 165 degrees, about 25 minutes.
Step 5 | |
Remove from heat and serve with the extra honey jam sauce. |
I used my sister’s homemade Apple Pomegranate Jam when making this chicken. I have a feeling that was one of the things that made it taste so amazingly good. So easy to make too, just put in the oven and leave it while you prep your veggies and other side dishes.
This would also make a good glaze for BBQ Chicken.
Enjoy!
