Ingredients
- 1.5lb Ground Beef (93% lean)
- 1 cup Onion (diced (about 1/2 large))
- 1 teaspoon Steak Seasoning (Montreal or other)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1 teaspoon Thyme
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 3oz Tomato Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 2 cups Water
- 4 cups Potatoes (diced (about 7 small))
- 1 can Corn (drained)
- Salt (to taste)
- Sour Cream (optional)
Directions
Step 1 | |
In large skillet with lid, brown the ground beef. If not using lean ground beef, drain the fat. | |

Add the steak seasoning, garlic salt, thyme, italian seasoning and onions. Cook for a couple minutes, stirring frequently, until the onions start to become translucent. | |

Add the tomato paste, sugar and water. Cook and stir to bring mixture to a boil and to make sure the tomato paste is dissolved. | |
Step 4 | |
Add the diced potatoes and stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. | |
Step 5 | |
Add the corn, drained, and cook for another 10 minutes or more, or until the potatoes are fully cooked. Taste and add salt or garlic salt as desired. Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream (optional). |
