The best chocolate chip cookie ever created was created at a restaurant called Toll House. This is the Original Nestle Toll House Cookie Recipe and cannot be beat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cups Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 cups Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels (12-oz pkg)
  • 1 cup Nuts (chopped, optional)

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside
Step 3
In a mixer, beat together butter, vanilla, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat until creamy and fluffy.
Step 4
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat for a couple a minute or two until fluffy.
Step 5
Slowly add the flour and mix until fully incorporated.
Step 6
Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
Step 7
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 8
Bake at 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown (do not overcook or the cookies will get dry and hard). Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, and then remove and place on wire racks to cool. Serve warm with a cold glass of MILK.
