Skillet Frugalroni

Ingredients
- 1 1/2lb Ground Beef (93% lean)
- 1/2 Onions (diced, approx 3/4 cup)
- 1/2 Bell Pepper (diced, approx 3/4 cup)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 2 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 cups Water
- 1lb Elbow Macaroni
- 1 cup Sour Cream (optional)
Directions

Brown ground beef. | |

Add garlic salt, peppers and onions. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent. | |
Step 3 | |
Add the soup, use the milk to rinse out the soup cans. Add the milk and water and cook until bubbly. | |

Add the macaroni noodles, bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. | |
Step 5 | |
Remove from heat and let stand for about 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream and serve. |
And then there’s the original recipe I did 15 years or so ago. I called it Frugalroni, because I was low on cash and needed to make something hearty for dinner. I just grabbed what I could find and came up with this.

- 1/2 Red bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1/2 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 cup Water
- 8oz Cream Cheese

Add remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil, stirring continuously. | |

Serve over cooked Egg Noodles. |
