Brought to you by my sis SuZ, this is our family recipe for Stewed Prunes. She made these for us on Christmas Eve.

Step 1

Place the prunes and thinly sliced lemons in a small saucepan. Be sure to make the lemons super thin so that they will be edible when the prunes are ready. Add just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the prunes are plump and the water is reduced to a syrup. Serve warm.
