The key to caramelizing the onions is to heat on high and to let the onions get almost burned. Adding the water will release the sugars and create a sweet caramelized onion base.

- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 1/2 cups Onions (diced)
- 1/2 cup Water (divided)
- 1 cup Green Onions (chopped)
- 2 cups Sour Cream
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Package Hidden Valley Ranch Dip
- 2 tablespoons Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce
