When kids cook, something magical happens. My son decided one day that he had an idea for apples. This was the result. A tangy and delicious cinnamon apple that makes the house smell like the holidays.
Make the cinnamon sugar by mixing together 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Set aside
Bring water, vinegar sugar and cinnamon to a boil and boil on medium heat for 1 minute. Add cut up apples and cook for 3 minutes, covered.
Remove apples, drain and then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Rest on parchment paper for 1 minute to cool. Serve warm for best flavor.
