Penne with Sausage & Peppers Recipe

One of my semi-homemade, I need a hearty and hot meal on the table in 20-30 minutes.  Perfect for those busy weeknights without too many ingredients to drive you crazy.

Penne with Sausage & Peppers

Serves 8

Cook time 20 minutes

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Italian Sausage Links (Cut up)
  • 2 Mixed Bell Peppers (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup White Wine
  • 1 jar Marinara Sauce
  • 1lb Penne Pasta


Step 1
Start a pot of water to cook the penne pasta.
Step 2
In large skillet, cook sausage and peppers in olive oil until sausage is browned.
Step 3
Add white wine and cook for about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the marinara sauce and heat until it starts to boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and simmer until the pasta is ready.
Step 5
Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain, but do not rinse, the pasta. Add to the sauce and combine well. Serve with Parmesan Cheese.
