You can use any rub or BBQ Sauce that you like. I’ll provide you with the exact ones I used which was a winning combination.

Smoked BBQ Pork Chops

The best things in life can be really simple, as with these Smoked BBQ Pork Chops. These pork chops are so moist and full of flavor. YUM!

Ingredients

  • Bone in Pork Chops
  • Viv's Chicken Dry Rub
  • Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Directions

Step 1
Sprinkle the chicken rub onto the pork and rub it in. Smoke at 275 for 1 hour. Slather with BBQ Sauce and cook 10 minutes. Flip and repeat 3 times so each side has two batches of sauce. Remove from the smoker and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Chicken Rub

This is a versatile rub that I use on Chicken and Pork. It works great in marinades as well as in a dry rub for grilled, smoked and roasted chicken or pork.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Kirkland's Organic No Salt Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Hungarian Paprika
  • 1/4 cup Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 cup Herbes de Provance
  • 2 tablespoons McCormick's Chipotle Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper

Directions

Step 1
Mix together well and rub onto chicken before smoking, roasting or grilling.

Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Blackberry Jam/Preserves
  • 1 cup Cider Vinegar
  • 1 can Tomato Paste (6 oz)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup Molasses
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chicken Rub or Pappy's Prime Rib Rub
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
