Spanish Leftover Rice
By author | Dish Ditty Recipes |
Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Salt (to taste)
- 3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 4 cups Leftover Rice (white or brown)
- 1/4 cup Tomato Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Cilantro Paste (or 1/4 bunch chopped fresh cilantro)
Note
*I used brown rice for this dish (pictured).
Directions
Step 1 | |
Heat oil in large pan. Add rice and take a minute to break up the rice. Add the remaining ingredients, mixing into the rice. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until rice is piping hot and the tomato sauce and spices are well incorporated. |
You can choose to add yellow onions, green bell peppers, peas, carrots, corn, green onions or other vegetables to this dish if you prefer. If choosing to do so, I’d suggest sautéing the vegetables in the oil before adding the rice. Enjoy!
