Tonkatsu Pork Stirfry Recipe

Tonkatsu Pork Stirfry Recipe

I love this dish.  It’s so quick to prepare and it is done in the time it takes to cook your rice.  I usually have the marinated pork on hand, ready to go, so it makes an easy weeknight meal.

Drain the pork and mix it with the 2 tablespoons of cornstarch in a small bowl. Set aside.
Step 2
Mix soy sauce
In another small bowl, combine Tonkatsu sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. Set aside.
Step 3
Cook vegetables
In large wok or pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil on high. Add the onions and peppers with 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until onions are translucent and peppers have started to soften. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 4

In same pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil on high. Add the pork and cook, stirring constantly, until pork is browned.
Step 5
Add back vegetables
Add the vegetables back into the pan and cook for 2 minutes more to combine them.
Step 6
Add soy sauce mixture
Add the soy sauce mixture and cook until thick and bubbly and pork is fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from pan and serve with white rice.
Step 7
Bull-Dog Tonkatsu Sauce
Bull-Dog Vegetable & Fruit Sauce (aka Tonkatsu Sauce) is my favorite brand and is found at most Chinese supermarkets. Any Tonkatsu Sauce will work, like from Kikkoman.
