Smoked Pork Sirloin Tip Recipe
This pork was so tender, juicy and full of flavor. Smoked Pork Sirloin Tip is so much more juicier than other cuts of pork, mostly because it is dark meat and doesn’t dry out as quickly as white meat.
This recipe was created for a smoker, but this can easily work in the oven roasted or on the grill. I will update the instructions if I try it with either other method, but for now I just have the smoker instructions.
Smoked Pork Sirloin Tip
- 1 Pork Sirloin Tip
- Garlic Olive Oil
- Pappy's Prime Rib Rub
About 30-40 minutes after putting the roast on the smoker, I placed a basket of veggies and let them smoke/cook at the same time. I used large chunks of: Zucchini, Red Onion, and Red Bell Pepper. Then coated them with Garlic Olive Oil, Seasoned Pepper, Garlic Salt and Italian Herb Seasoning. Delish!
Preheat/prepare smoker at 325 degrees.
Rinse and dry pork roast. Rub a couple of tablespoons of Garlic Olive Oil onto the roast to fully coat. Sprinkle on Pappy's Prime Rib Rub. I did a nice thin coat, which I estimate at about 1 1/2 tablespoons. Depends on the size of your roast. Then add the molasses, about 1 tablespoon. Not a lot.
Place seasoned roast on a pre-heated 325 degree smoker. If you don't have a smoker, you can grill, however I don't have instructions yet for that. Cover and smoke for about 1 hour, or until the temperature reaches 145 degrees.
Remove from smoker and let rest for 10 minutes. Yes! 10 minutes. Slice & Serve.
