Sue got this recipe from her parents who used to own a Chinese Restaurant in Downtown San Jose. These shrimp are so easy to make but taste so amazing, you will want to serve them all the time.
Ingredients
- 1lb Tiger Prawns (or large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail on)
- 6 Green Onions (sliced thin in 1)
- 1 4-inch Ginger Root (sliced thin and/or chopped)
- 1-2 teaspoon Garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Dry Vermouth
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt (or more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper (or more to taste)
Directions
Step 1 | |
In a large nonstick skillet, sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger for about 2-3 minutes. Add the wine, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook on high heat, stirring constantly until all shrimp are cooked (about 4-5 minutes). Serve immediately. |

I have used this recipe several times, so good….. I have even used frozen shelled shrimp and it was equally delicious… Also you can add a little cream or lemon juice, or white wine just ‘cuz’ , but this recipe is perfect just as it is…..yummy !!!!
