No need to buy your marinated mushrooms, just make them yourself. Make them the same day or in advance. Either way, you’ll enjoy these on your relish tray at your holiday gatherings.

No need to buy your marinated mushrooms, just make them yourself. Make them the same day or in advance. Either way, you'll enjoy these on your relish tray at your holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1lb White Mushrooms (stems removed)
  • 1/4 cup Garlic Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Red Onions (finely chopped (about 1/2 of an onion))
  • Zest & Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Course Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Thyme
  • 1/4 cup Water

Directions

Step 1
Cook Mushrooms in Olive Oil
Cook Mushrooms in Garlic Olive Oil for about 4 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 2
Add water & cook
Add the water and cook and stir for about 1 minute. Pour into glass bowl.
Step 3
Add remaining Ingredients
Add onions, lemon zest, lemon juice, thyme, salt, pepper and sugar. Mix. Let cool and serve at room temperature. Store in the refrigerator if not serving the same day. Lasts for up to 5 or more days refrigerated.
