Recipe for Cherri's Spicy Cocktail Sauce
Directions
Step 1 | |
In the steamer pot, place the water & vinegar on the bottom.
Step 2 | |
In the top steamer portion of the pot, place a layer of shrimp. Sprinkle on the Old Bay seasoning liberally to coat the shrimp. Add another layer of the shrimp and repeat adding the Old Bay liberally. Continue until all the shrimp is in the pot.
Step 3 | |
Cover the pot and turn on high heat. Once the water and vinegar are boiling, let the shrimp steam for about 3-5 minutes. Open the lid and toss the shrimp gently. Look to make sure all the shrimp are cooked and that none are translucent. A shrimp that is cooked will be white and pink, not gray and clear. Generally I need to stir once, cover, and then cook for another 3 minutes or so.
Step 4 | |
Remove and serve warm or chilled. Serve with Cherri's Spicy Cocktail Sauce. |
